Greenway Planning Clarification
Good Morning Friends—
As a follow-up to my earlier message and in the context of future grant opportunities, I am pleased to share this clarification from Brownsville City Planner Shelton Merrell:
“The proposed Greenway Plan presented in the Brownsville on the Move Strategic Plan was incorporated into the adopted Haywood Next Future Land Use Plan.”
In other words, while the original plan is now over ten years old, its concepts and recommendations were carried forward into the City-County’s adopted Haywood Next plan. As a result, the vision remains current and continues to be reflected in our community’s official planning framework.
