Ladies and Gentleman,

Haywood County is proud to announce the Third Annual Celebration of HONORING HAYWOOD’S HEROES will be held on July 3rd, 2023 at 11:30 A. M. on the lawn of the Haywood County Courthouse, 1 North Washington, Brownsville, Tennessee.

This celebration is a demonstration of our appreciation for our First Responders and Veterans that risk their lives daily or have risk their lives in our times of need. Those being acknowledged will be the Haywood County Sheriff’s Department, Brownsville Police Department, Brownsville- Haywood County Fire Department, Haywood County Ambulance Authority, Haywood County Rescue Squad, Stanton Fire Department, and Those Veterans from Haywood County, Tennessee, who give or have given their life in defense of this County and Country. Delivering the Key Note addresses will be Circuit Court Judge Clayburn Peeples and State Representative Debbie Moody.

The ceremony will conclude by a rededication of the Haywood County eternal flame located on the lawn of the Haywood County Courthouse by retired Colonel Barry Presley. The Public is strongly encouraged to attend to show their appreciation for those that have and do provide the safety and security for you and your families.

In case of inclement weather the ceremony will be held in the old courtroom in the second floor of the Haywood County Courthouse.
