Attached for the county agenda is the following resolution for consideration by the Haywood County Commission at its upcoming meeting on July 20, 2026.
Establishing County Commission Approval Procedures for Payment in Lieu of Tax (PILOT) Agreements Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 7-53-305, as Amended by Public Chapter 987 of 2026
The resolution was reviewed by the Local Government Committee and was unanimously recommended for consideration by the full Commission. The resolution has also been reviewed by County Attorney Sarah Levy, who attended the Committee’s July 14 meeting to explain its provisions and respond to questions.
