Attached for inclusion on the County Commission agenda for the August 17, 2026 are the following resolutions and supporting document (Rules Manual) for consideration by the Haywood County Commission.
Resolution Designating that Future Payments In Lieu Of Taxes (PILOTs) be Remitted Directly to the Haywood County Trustee
RESOLUTION TO ADOPT REVISED LOCAL GOVERNMENT RULES FOR THE COUNTY LEGISLATIVE BODY
Both resolutions were reviewed by the Local Government Committee and unanimously recommended for consideration by the full Commission. The resolutions have also been reviewed by County Attorney Sarah Levy, who attended the Committee’s August 11 meeting to participant in the review and respond to questions.
The revised Rules Manual has been updated by the Committee to reflect recent changes in Tennessee law and to provide clarification of Commission procedures. A summary list of the changes is included in the document addendum.
