Good Morning Candidates for County Commission and Other Elected Offices—

As a heads up, I am forwarding this newsletter, link, and news clip as a SAVE THE DATE for the County Officials Orientation Training scheduled for August 24–25.

This orientation is required for newly elected county commissioners. I am sharing this information with candidates for whom I have email addresses; please feel free to forward it to others who may be interested.

Incumbent officials also have the option of attending for a registration fee. The training is extremely beneficial and covers state laws, responsibilities, and best practices that are essential for effective service in county government.

If you have questions, please contact CTAS directly. I believe hotel reservations are the responsibility of either the attendee or the county, but CTAS can provide clarification. The County should reimburse travel costs and conference fees.

Thanks!

Sharon Hayes
Chair, Local Government Committee
